NOVEMBER 13

Today our journey begins. We will take care of your transfer from Mexico City’s Benito Juárez International Airport to our hotel. Our Welcome Dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m.


NOVEMBER 14

Saturdays are always colorful and full of life. This morning we visit the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to admire the work of the great architect and muralist Juan O’Gorman. We will also explore the studios of Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and O’Gorman in San Ángel, followed by the joyful colors of Bazar Sábado, the most beautiful handcraft market in Mexico.


NOVEMBER 15

Today we visit the Museum of Folk Art, where we will learn about Mexico’s diverse forms of folk art. We will also explore the emblematic Museo Mural Diego Rivera, a place of extraordinary symbolic beauty.


NOVEMBER 16

A phenomenal day awaits in Teotihuacan—from its ancient residential neighborhoods and preserved murals in situ, to the breathtaking scale of its monumental pyramids.


NOVEMBER 17

We begin at the National Museum of Anthropology, where we will meet the magnificent Mask of Malinaltepec along with hundreds of extraordinary artifacts. We will explore 3,000 years of Mesoamerican history—from the Olmecs to the Mexica. Later, we visit the Cárcamo del Río Lerma and Diego Rivera’s fascinating submerged mural.


NOVEMBER 18

Today we explore the Living Muralism Museum—a jewel filled with spectacular murals that narrate Mexico’s history in a profound and eloquent way.


NOVEMBER 19

Three unforgettable experiences await us today, each one revealing a different layer of Mexico’s cultural soul. We begin in Xochimilco, embracing the poetry of its ancient canals and floating gardens; continue to the extraordinary Anahuacalli Museum, a stone temple imagined by Diego Rivera as a sanctuary for Mexico’s past; and conclude in the deeply emotional world of Casa Azul, where Frida Kahlo’s life and spirit come alive in the very rooms where she dreamed, painted, and lived. It is a day woven with meaning from beginning to end—one that stays in the heart long after the journey is over.

We travel to Toluca and Metepec, where we will learn about the traditional Tree of Life, visit the workshop of master artisan Israel Soteno, and at sunset, experience the dazzling beauty of the Cosmovitral, a wonderful ethnobotanical garden embraced by stained glass.

We will arrange your transfer to the International Airport in México City at the time of your convenience.

I will meet you at our  hotel in the center of México City; we will have our welcome dinner around 6:30 p.m.


NOVEMBER 6

We will begin our journey with a visit to the extraordinary Rivera Chapel at Chapingo University, an unforgettable space that beautifully integrates art, spirituality, and Mexican identity. In the afternoon, we will explore the workshop of the Ruiz Brothers, where we will learn about the art of bone carving and admire their exquisite, internationally renowned creations.


NOVEMBER 7

Just a few months ago, a wonderful new museum was inaugurated in honor of the iconic artist Frida Kahlo. Today we will visit La Casa Roja in Coyoacán, and afterward, we will make our way to the León Trotsky Museum, a truly fascinating place that sheds light on a remarkable chapter of Mexico’s cultural and political history.


NOVEMBER 8

Today we will travel to the beautiful city of Cuernavaca, where we will visit the extraordinary Robert Brady Folk Art Collection, explore the historic Palace of Cortés and its magnificent Diego Rivera murals, and continue to Xochicalco to admire its remarkable architecture. We will end the day in the enchanting silver city of Taxco, where we will spend the night.


NOVEMBER 9

Taxco will dazzle us with the exquisite beauty of the Church of Santa Prisca, while we wander through charming cobblestone streets and discover silver workshops filled with artistry and tradition. Every moment in this romantic city invites us to slow down and savor its beauty. We will also visit the luminous murals by Juan O’Gorman at La Posada de la Misión—an unforgettable encounter with one of Mexico’s most imaginative artists.


NOVEMBER 10

Back in Mexico City, we will explore the tranquil canals of Tláhuac and visit the workshop of the great Folk Art Master, Pedro Ortega, where we will learn about the tradition of papel picado and the extraordinary artistry behind it. We will discover how this delicate paper—vivid, colorful, and beautifully ephemeral—creates moments of joy that live at the very heart of Mexican folk art.


NOVEMBER 11

Today we will enjoy two world-class museums: the Franz Mayer Museum, with its magnificent collection of decorative arts, and the National Museum of Art, home to an exquisite selection of Mexican masterpieces. In the afternoon, we will visit the murals of the Abelardo Rodríguez Market, learning about the remarkable artists behind them—Raúl Gamboa, Ángel Bracho, Ramón Alva de la Canal, Miguel Tzab, Antonio Pujol, and Pedro Rendón—together with American artists such as Marion and Grace Greenwood and the sculptor Isamu Noguchi. These murals reveal a powerful visual narrative of social history, workers’ struggles, and everyday Mexican life—an extraordinary encounter with art beyond museum walls.


NOVEMBER 12

On our final day, we will visit Tepotzotlán and enjoy a fascinating tour of the Museum of the Viceroyalty, where extraordinary architectural and pictorial masterpieces illuminate the splendor of New Spain. We will then continue to the Padre Tembleque Aqueduct, an astonishing feat of 16th-century engineering. Stretching more than 45 kilometers, this UNESCO World Heritage Site represents one of the most remarkable hydraulic constructions of the colonial world—an ambitious project that harmoniously combined Indigenous knowledge and European techniques.

OCTOBER 27

We meet at Benito Juárez International Airport and travel together to Pachuca, Hidalgo. Upon arrival, we enjoy a warm Welcome Dinner and begin settling into the peaceful atmosphere of our journey.


OCTOBER 28

Today we explore the extraordinary Ex-Convent of San Francisco de Asís, a landmark of Baroque Churrigueresque design. We then visit the Monumental Clock, commemorating the first century of Mexico’s Independence, and continue to the Pachuca Macro-Mural, a breathtaking community artwork created from more than 200 hillside homes.


OCTOBER 29

We travel to Ixmiquilpan, center of Otomí culture. Here, back-strap loom weaving, miniature wood inlay, and textile traditions speak of ancestral memory and exceptional craftsmanship. We meet the women of Las Mendoza, whose internationally renowned work preserves the legacy of their ancestors with skill, elegance, and devotion.


OCTOBER 30

We continue our Día de Muertos celebration in San Vicente, where vibrant altars, tropical aromas, and sacred dances welcome the souls of loved ones. As evening arrives, masked Huehue dancers embody ancient spirits through ritual movement—an unforgettable encounter with the living roots of Xantolo.


OCTOBER 31

Tonight we immerse ourselves in the heart of Xantolo in Huejutla, one of Mexico’s most magical expressions of Día de Muertos. Monumental altars, violin and jarana, and spirited dances weave together Nahua-Tenek tradition and Catholic devotion. Here, life and death embrace joyfully beneath the glow of candlelight.


NOVEMBER 1

We visit Actopan to admire its magnificent 16th-century convent, home to precious early colonial murals. In the afternoon, we share an intimate Día de Muertos gathering with a local family—a heartfelt celebration of remembrance, tenderness, and cultural continuity.


NOVEMBER 2

In the Magical Village of Huasca de Ocampo, we explore the legendary Hacienda Santa María Regla, the historic church of San Juan Bautista, and the beautiful former convent that now serves as a museum. A gentle day surrounded by nature, architecture, and local stories.


NOVEMBER 3

We visit Tula, ancestral home of the Atlantes and one of ancient Mexico’s most influential cities. Here we walk among temples and plazas, discovering the power and symbolism that shaped central Mexico and continues to inspire folk traditions today.
