After a day filled with history and culture, we’ll return to relax and rejuvenate, gearing up for a magical final night in the charming, white-washed streets of Mérida!

SEPTEMBER 4
We will meet at the International Airport in Mexico City (called Benito Juárez), then we will take the road to the City of Puebla. We are going to have our delicious welcome dinner at the most important restaurant in this beautiful city.
SEPTEMBER 5
Our first stop will be the outstanding Cathedral and the Amparo Museum. Also, we will visit the Palafoxian Library. After lunch we will go to the archaeological site of Cholula, and after this visit, we will see one of the most important studios of talavera ceramics in Cholula.
SEPTEMBER 6
We will visit the extraordinary Baroque Museum designed by the architect Toyo Ito, then we will visit two fabulous spaces: Tonantzintla and San Francisco Acatepec.
SEPTEMBER 7
We will visit the beautiful Castle of Chautla. We will learn about its extraordinary history while we visit one of the most beautiful talavera kitchens. After enjoying an extraordinary lunch at this fabulous destination, we will head back to Puebla City.
SEPTEMBER 8
Today will be an extraordinary day. We will visit one of the most outstanding archaeological sites, Cacaxtla. Its murals are fabulous and the story behind them, too. Also, we will visit the murals of the Government Palace of Tlaxcala. We will learn about the incredible vision of the artist, Desiderio Hernández Xochitiotzin.
SEPTEMBER 9
Today we will have an enchanting journey to the Folk Art Museum, a captivating treasure trove where history and flavor intertwine! Step into the stunning colonial kitchen that birthed the legendary mole, and discover the captivating story of the chile en nogada, all while immersing yourself in Puebla’s extraordinary folk art traditions.
SEPTEMBER 10
After breakfast we will travel to Izúcar de Matamoros to explore the fascinating tradition of the Tree of Life ceramic sculptures, immersing ourselves in this vibrant culture as we visit two significant studios.
SEPTEMBER 11
As we make our way back to Mexico City, an exhilarating adventure awaits us at the extraordinary Museo Vivo del Muralismo—an impressive celebration of artistic expression that houses works from over fifteen different muralists across an expansive 32,291 square feet! Imagine stepping into a world where vivid colors and intricate designs tell the stories of Mexico’s rich cultural tapestry. Each mural offers a glimpse into the minds of these talented artists, allowing us to explore the evolution of muralism while igniting our own imaginations.
